• To be the online hub of IJP projects which are set by Eamonn O’Neill and colleagues who are engaged in teaching Investigative Journalism
• To promote best practice and high ethical and professional standards in all journalism projects.
• To serve as an online resource centre for students who are engaged in investigating alleged miscarriage of justice cases in the UK; and other investigative projects deemed appropriate.
• To act as an online discussion forum for students engaged in Investigative Journalism classes and projects organised in class.
• To provide a route map and online introduction for those classes and projects.
• To act as a source for important material; workshop information; and additional case-related documents which can be downloaded in either Word or PDF format for use in class.
• To provide links for students to use as resource options for class exercises and workshop tasks.
• To serve as a question-related forum for students with questions, problems and other project-related issues through which they can reach out to the class teacher or other students for suggestions and solutions.
• To provide students with a publishing platform for articles; reports; and other material which can be viewed by visitors to the IJP website.
• To help current students understand what’s expected of them in class by providing past-papers and successful assignments that can be downloaded and studied.
